Gary joined the Los Gatos Bicycle Racing Club in 1998 after six years of leadership in the Castro Valley Cycling Club. His varied involvement in LGBRC is tribute to his diverse talents. He races road, criteriums and cyclocross, organizes rides, serves on the Timpany and Cat's Hill Committees, is on the Board of Directors - these are a few of his recent contributions. He is a Category 4 racer.

When asked what attracted him to cycling, he says, "I've ridden bicycles since I was 6 and motorcycles since 14. My formal riding initiation came when I was 25 and I was a 10K runner and Aerobics instructor who was dragged out on a 45 mile long ride with a very steep climb for my first ride. I was hooked."

What is one of his cycling achievements? "Every ride is a great cycling achievement. I enjoy the all the great people I've met riding a bicycle (whether they were riding or not!)"
